Due to the increasing cost of importing Dried Mealworms, we have sourced these Calci Worms as a cheaper but still very nutritious alternative.

What are Calci Worms? Calci Worms are the larvae of the Black Soldier Fly (Hermetia illucens). Similar in appearance to dried mealworms but calci worms have much higher fat and calcium levels, perfect for stronger egg shells in the breading season and high energy in the colder months.

Recyclable packaging: Our calci worms come packaged in recyclable plastic bags, in 180g, 500g, 1kg, 2kg and 12.55kg sizes. The plastic bags can be recycled at many supermarkets and other collection points. For more details and to find your nearest collection point, please read our recyclable packaging page.

Feeding Advice: Whilst similar in appearance, if your birds are used to eating dried mealworms it can take a little while for them to get used to the different taste of Calci Worms but they will soon be enjoyed by all! Suitable for all year round feeding, either as part of a seed mix or as a straight food. Always ensure fresh water is available.

Not for human consumption.
