Whole Peanuts
Whole peanuts are a classic bird food containing up to 50% oil, high in protein, rich in fat, high calorie, rich in essential fibre, and high energy.
Peanuts are attractive to a wide range of birds including Tits, Finches, Woodpeckers and the Nuthatch.
It is important to feed whole peanuts in a mesh feeder, especially in spring and summer as large nuts are a choking hazard to young birds. Between april and September peanuts are a great food source for fledgelings.
Salted or dry roasted peanuts must not be fed to garden birds.
Our current stock of whole peanuts are 60/70 graded (the aprox. amount that fits in an average hand), cheaper peanuts are often a much smaller 80/90 grade.
Aflatoxin tested safe for birds.
Plastic free paper sacks available in 15kg and 20kg sizes.
